While Abhishek Bajaj and Baseer Ali’s ugly spat was at the forefront, another moment that caused commotion during the captaincy task—this time between Nehal Chudasama and Amaal Mallik—has become a talking point inside and out of the house.
During this captaincy task, housemates were divided into two rival teams. Amaal was the representative of Team Red and his job was to protect the board by rubbing off what was written on it. Nehal was Team Blue’s representative, and her job was to paint her reasoning on it. The opposing duties almost immediately turned into a physical fight, with both housemates pushing and blocking each other in an attempt to save their side.
In the midst of the chaos, Amaal accidentally hit Nehal. A situation that could be brushed off as part of the task, suddenly changed the mood completely inside the house. In this case, the other participant, Amaal knew immediately what had happened and just started to say sorry to her. But Nehal said nothing, and even with Amaal ‘s efforts to say sorry elicited a more acute reaction.
As the confrontation continued to escalate, Amaal himself broke down and insisted that he hadn’t done anything on purpose, and was being unfairly scapegoated. His breakdown quickly persuaded fellow contestants that this was unjust, and soon almost the entire house was seen standing beside him, reassuring him, and indicating that his push was not intentional.
The sentiments on social media also matched this. While some viewers sympathized with Nehal’s response, they have noted, many other netizens pointed out that the incident was patently accidental. On various social media platforms viewers pointed out that Amaal apologized many times and that making too big of a deal about nothing, was creating dramatic tension that they did not think was appropriate. Some viewers online even called it a “fiasco” made out of nothing, while others highlighted that the task itself practically invited some measure of pushing.
