The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 went from a competitive captaincy task, to full-on mystery drama when contestant Mridul Tiwari got hurt during the task, which caused all kinds of finger-pointing inside the house, and all sorts of speculation on social media.
It all seemed fairly straight-forward on paper: contestants have to run towards a red circle and complete a task that is given. Round 1 got under way, and Baseer Ali sprinted ahead and completed the task winning the round – but at a cost. A major twist to the round was that Baseer would have to relinquish two apples from their house ration.
Round 2, however, flipped the atmosphere upside down. When all housemates bolted towards the red circle, disaster struck. Mridul was on the floor clearly hurt. What was intended to be another fun round was now tense.
Once Mridul went down, accusations of who was responsible for the incident were flying around the house quicker than the housemates could sprint. Baseer and Nehal even made it a point to blame Abhishek Bajaj insisting he was responsible for Mridul’s injury, but social media was having none of it. Across fan pages and across twitter threads, a new name began trending – Amaal Malik – where netizens started blaming him for the incident.
And then things got even better. When the video was slowed down and played back frame-by-frame, the real surprise – it wasn’t Abhishek, it wasn’t Amaal… it was actually Awez Darbar’s hand that hit Mridul in him during the massive scramble! Classic Bigg Boss twist!
While the cat is now out of the bag (at least for the viewers), we will have to see how this will play out in the Bigg Boss house. Will the blame game calm down? or will the injury incident spark new ones? What is for sure, although the captaincy task has ended, the drama is just beginning!
